Likeness Index

Copyright and rights concerns

Our position

This index exists to make authorised licensing easier to find. A market where people are paid for the use of their likeness only works if unauthorised listings are removed quickly and without argument.

What we index

  • Factual details of licensing offers: who is listed, what modality is offered, terms, and indicative price.
  • A link back to the originating platform’s page.
  • The platform’s own statement about whether the listing is rights-holder authorised.

What we do not index

  • Photographs, audio, video or any other protected media, unless a platform has permitted it in writing.
  • Sources whose terms prohibit automated collection.
  • Listings we have been told are unauthorised.

If a listing is unauthorised

Tell us and we will remove it from the index. We do not require a formal legal notice, and we do not wait for the originating platform to act first — we can only remove it here, but we will do so promptly.

Use the correction and removal form. Say who you are, what your relationship to the person is, and which listing or profile is affected. Verified requests from a person, their estate, or their representatives are actioned as a priority.

Copyright complaints

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, contact us with the work concerned, the URL, and a statement of your rights in it. Contested items are removed while the question is resolved.

Platforms

If you operate a marketplace and want your listings indexed differently — different attribution, different fields, or not at all — contact us. Requests from platform operators to stop indexing are honoured.
